Winnipeg to Toronto

I had time to explore Winnipeg before we left for Toronto. Here's a few pictures:
Here's Barbara updating her Facebook page. This is our room at the Humphry Inn & Suites.
Here's the view from our room. Awesome sunrise.
In Canada there are one and two dollar coins. The smallest paper currency is a fiver. They call the one dollar coin a "Loonie"
I found a candy skeleton at the Nutty Club
Look out look out, the Candy Man, Here he comes and he's gone again.
There is a bunch of early 20th century buildings in Winnipeg. I learned that many period movies have been filmed here. Here's a few pictures.
On occasion the city has removed streetlights and covered the pavement with dirt.
 Cool architecture.
The bus shelters in Winnipeg are fully enclosed. Good for snow days. I also visited 2 underground malls with tunnels to near by buildings.
The Hudson's Bay Company or "The Bay" as it's commonly known, is the largest department store in Canada.
 Founded May 2nd 1670. That's a long time ago.
Canadians wear a red poppy on their left lapel from the end of October up until November 11th, veterans day. The day WWI ended.
There is a Hudson's Bay blanket.
Winnipeg is the Capitol of Manitoba. This is the Capitol building.
Canada is like the alternate universe on the TV show Fringe. In the USA you would simply break the glass to get at the fire extinguisher. In Canada you use a hammer to break the glass over the handle. Weird.
We got on the train to Toronto at 11:30 PM. No one in the dome car tonight.
Well almost no one.
Here is a shot of the tail end of the train, below the dome.
Manitoba & Ontario have thousands of lakes. I took dozens of pictures but I can't post them all. Here's a couple:

Here is lounge beneath the forward Dome Car.
The dining car all ready for meal time.
The train stopped in Hornepayne, I took a few pictures.
The train had two dome cars, this is the forward one.
Our sleeping car was #220. Larry was our attendant.
Here we are rolling into Toronto. Taken from the rear dome car.
